STRENGTHENING FAMILIES TOGETHER COURSE

Do you have a relative or friend with a brain chemical disorder such as schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder or major depression?
Have you ever experienced symptoms of a persistent brain chemical disorder?

Strengthening Families Together, a 10-session group course for families and friends (as well as consumers) provides information, skill-building, and support.  More information at: www.strengtheningfamilies.bcss.org 

You will learn:

• the different types of brain chemical disorders
• the medications and treatments
• how to cope —where and when to ask for support

The first two sessions will be held on Saturday September 29th 2007 at: CNC in Burns Lake, BC. (This course is now finished. To find out when the next session begins near you please contact www.bcsspg.org )

Session # 1:  10am – 12:30pm “What Is Mental Illness?”
Session # 2:   1:30pm – 4pm  “Schizophrenia”
