    Vancouver - BCSS - Info for Families on Consumer Run Programs

    the BCSS Vancouver/Richmond Branch invites you to learn about
     
          Consumer Run Programs
    presented by Renea Mohammed, Debbie Sesula and Jan Ashdown
     
     
    Come learn about the wonderful programs that are being managed by consumer employees of Vancouver Community Mental Health Services (VCMHS).  You will get to learn more about the Peer Support Training Program; almost 80 Peer Support Workers now work for VCMHS. The excellent psychoeducation program, BRIDGES, led by consumers for consumers will also be explained. The WRAP program, which helps maintain wellness through careful planning, will be presented. A variety of programs developed through the Consumer Initiatives Fund will  be discussed.
     
    This is a wonderful opportunity for family members and consumers to come learn together about these significant initiatives that have been developed with support from VCMHS Rehabilitation Services. Mental health professionals (and students) are welcome to attend! The presentations will be followed by a chance to enjoy refreshments and talk with others who care about these issues.
