Responding with Respect - Mental Illness First Aid
Open to the Public Course:
Mental Illness First Aid is an innovative 16 hour course designed to help individuals gain a better understanding of mental illnesses and the basic skills and knowledge to deal with specific situations.
Similar to physical first aid courses, Mental Illness First Aid is meant to reduce harm and save lives in those individuals who are living with an untreated mental illness.
The overall goal of this course is to provide fundamental information, practical strategies, and information on community resources to prepare participants to work with individuals experiencing a range of mental health issues.

Cancellation Policy:
If participants need to cancel a full refund will be given if canceling 7+ days prior to training, 3-6 days there will be a $15.00 administration fee and less than 3 days notification- no refund. Substitution of registrant is allowed by calling (604) 872-4902.
CMHAVB reserves the right to cancel course in the event of low enrollment. Participants will be notified in this event.
