Types of Donations
By making a financial contribution, your generosity can help families affected by mental illness, assist them to better cope with their loved one’s illness, and give additional hope and support. You can make an outright or deferred gift to the BC Schizophrenia Society or the MIND Foundation through many different methods.
Your gift(s) can be made through:
Regular Donations
If you’d like to give, we’d like to make it easy for you! You can give by phone at 604-270-7841 or 1-888-888-0029 or donate online securely using your credit card.
We also can accept donations dropped off or mailed to our office (#201 – 6011 Westminster Hwy. (at Number 2 road) View Map Richmond, B.C. V7C 4V4 Canada). We can accept donations in many forms including money, securities, goods, real estate or insurance.
Monthly Giving
Your gift can be made to the The BC Schizophrenia Society or MIND Foundation in equal monthly installments through direct debit deposit or credit card. Since this is automatic, you don’t have to worry about making a cheque out once per year. Your tax receipt is sent to you once per year.

Planned Giving
Providing a planned gift through your insurance policy or planned giving vehicle can be very simple. This method ensures a legacy that will continue into the future. The BC Schizophrenia Society or MIND Foundation may be a named beneficiary in workplace insurance as well.

Give Stocks or Shares
How to Give: If you have stock or shares that you would like to donate to the BC Schizophrenia Society or Mind Foundation, please contact the Provincial Office for more information at 604-270-7841 or 1-888-888-0029.
Employee Funds
If you work for an organization with its own employee fund or United Way program, you can help the BC Schizophrenia Society or MIND Foundation by designating your donation to us. Workplace donations have made a real difference to BCSS programs and we are very grateful to all who participate.
In Honour Tributes
If you’d like to make your gift in honour of someone else, just let us know when you donate (including online) and we’d be happy to do that for you.
A unique and caring way to recognize a special occasion in the life of a friend, relative or colleague. We will send a special “In Honour” card to your friend or relative in recognition of your gift.
In Memoriam Gifts
Making a donation in memory of a loved one is a truly meaningful way to express your sympathy and respect to surviving family members and friends. We will send an acknowledgement of your gift to the family of the person you are honouring.
