The BCSS Purple Wave Crosses The ScotiaRun 2018 Finish Line!

The sun rose to a perfect day on June 24, as walkers, runners and volunteers proudly donned their BCSS shirts to challenge stigma and raise funds at the Scotiabank Charity Challenge. Whether running the half-marathon or walking the 5k, all 32 participants crossed the finish line creating a wave of purple!

Thanks to dedicated volunteers, BCSS was part of the Charity Village in Stanley Park, sharing information about BCSS, testing people’s knowledge of mental illness and helping our team stay connected throughout the day!

Although the event is over, the race to raise funds for BCSS continues until the end of the month.

It’s not too late to support a BCSS walker or runner, or one of our amazing teams: BCSS Stigma StompersSuper Stompers, BCSS Making Strides and Team Heimburger.

Please make a donation to BCSS today!

Great prizes were donated to inspire our runners and walkers, including tickets to the Canucks and Whitecaps, baskets from Banyen Books and Spud, White Spot vouchers and more!
