People with firsthand experience of mental illness tell their personal stories about its impact on their lives.

Four guest speakers talk about their own experience — a person with a mental illness, a family member with a loved one affected by mental illness, a mental health professional, and a police officer.

Real people! Real situations!

The BC Schizophrenia Society has been using this excellent presentation for 24 years. Nursing Students, Municipal Police and RCMP Officers, Occupational Therapists, Medical Students, BC Housing Employees, Teachers, Counsellors, High School Students, and Social Workers — all use the Partnership Program regularly to provide education about mental illness.

What audiences say about this amazing presentation:

  •  “Thank you for sharing your story. This is hugely helpful!”
  • “Eye opening, very engaging and informative.”
  •  “I’ll never think of people as “crazy” or “weird” again. Amazing Presentation! A++”
  • “Perfect, effective awareness program. I will never forget this experience!”
