There are ONLY 87 days left until the BMO Vancouver Marathon! Please consider running or volunteering for Team BCSS or supporting one of our existing runners.

On May 1st 2016, The BC Schizophrenia Society (BCSS) will be a BMO Run4Hope Official Charity. Run4Hope is the charity program of the Vancouver BMO Marathon. The programs’ goal is to raise funds for social impact and community good, and we are very excited to be a part of it. In an effort to prepare for this fantastic opportunity, we are building a dynamic, energetic and celebrator y BCSS Team of enthusiastic volunteers and runners.

To register as a runner:  participants will need to fill out our online sign-up form and the BMO Registration form. As part of the BCSS Team, you will have the fundraising tools you need to successfully raise a minimum of 250$ and awareness on behalf of the 1 in 100 individuals in BC (40,000 people) and their 24/7 caregivers who are challenged daily by the world’s most prevalent and devastating brain disease. Runners can choose from a variety of events (Marathon, half-marathon, 8k, and 2.5k). Once you’ve registered with us, we will create an online giving page for you to share with your social network and collect donations through a safe and secure online platform. You will also be given a pledge sheet to collect cash and cheque donations as well as a list of fun fundraising ideas to try!

To register as a water station volunteer: Volunteers need to register using the following password: runvanf18  this will unlock our F18 Wa ter Station Role (please double check that the role is the F18 Water Station), also volunteers should join the BC Schizophrenia Society team on the registration page. Once registration is complete, volunteers will receive a confirmation email with all of the information that they will need to know for race day, role location, start time, information manuals and maps. Included in this info will be a link to a training video, this video will give you an exact idea of the role and expectations for this volunteer position.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or need more information.
