The Northern Interior Region includes Prince George, Quesnel, McBride, Valemont, Mackenzie, Vanderhoof, Fort St. James, Fort St. John, Fraser Lake & Burns Lake, along with some other smaller communities.

BCSS Programs and Services – Providing Great Value

In the 2009-10 fiscal year alone, BCSS provincial coordinators responded to 5,684 calls and over 35,000 emails for support and information, attended 1,700 meetings, organized 390 support group sessions, and presented to over 34,000 members of the public

Who are we?

Family members and individuals affected by mental illness and addictions working with service providers to achieve a more comprehensive and effective continuum of mental health and addiction services.

What do we do?

Educated, trained and experienced PEERS provide support*, education*, and advocacy to improve the quality of life for family members and individuals affected by ANY mental illness and/or addiction including:

  • Schizophrenia
  • Bipolar / Depression
  • Anxiety Disorders
  • Addiction (Substance & Behavioral)
  • Concurrent Disorders (Mental Illness & Addiction)
  • Individual and group services available
