This newsletter gives regular updates on mental health information for teachers and services, programs and information available to family members and supporters of persons with a mental illness. It also provides updates on the ReachOut Psychosis program, a free assembly presentation that visits high schools throughout British Columbia, providing an action packed musical presentation along with information on how to spot and stop psychosis early. Drugs and PsychosisPsychosis can be induced by drugs or can be drug assisted. Some stimulating drugs, like amphetamines, can cause psychosis, while other drugs, including marijuana, can trigger the onset of psychosis in someone who is already at increased risk because they have vulnerability.
