1. Undone (2019 – 2022)

Undone

After surviving a car crash, Alma begins experiencing visions and slipping through time raising questions about whether she’s unlocking hidden truths or facing a mental health crisis. 2. Perception (2012–2015)

This crime show centers on Dr. Daniel Pierce, a brilliant neuropsychiatrist living with paranoid schizophrenia who assists the FBI in solving complex cases. While the show takes creative liberties—like portraying hallucinations as helpful guides—it also explores the daily realities of managing psychosis, including medication, routine, and the emotional toll of distinguishing reality from delusion. 

This show is not without its dramatizations, but it offers a rare lead character with schizophrenia who is intelligent, empathetic, and deeply human. The show opens up conversations about stigma, autonomy, and the nuanced experience of living with a severe mental illness. 


3. Mr. Robot (2015-2019)

A psychological thriller that follows Elliot, a cybersecurity engineer and hacker living with dissociative identity disorder and symptoms of psychosis. As he becomes entangled in a global conspiracy, the show dives deep into his fractured reality, exploring themes of paranoia, delusion, and identity. 

This show doesn’t shy away from the complexity of mental illness, it portrays Elliot’s inner world with empathy, ambiguity, and raw intensity. 4. United States of Tara (2009)

5. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (2015–2019)

6. My Mad Fat Diary (2013-2015)

7. Legion (2017-2019)
