BCSS 2024 Annual General Meeting and Education Session

The BC Schizophrenia Society’s 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Education Session is on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the Sandman Signature Vancouver Airport Hotel & Resort (10251 St Edwards Dr, Richmond, BC V6X 2M9).
This year’s AGM will follow a hybrid format, allowing attendees to attend in-person or virtually. RSVP-ing via the ticket at the bottom of this page means you’re attending in person.

- 12:30 pm: Door Opens & Light Refreshments
- 1:00 pm: Welcome by BCSS and Sponsor Remarks
- 1:10 pm: Society Annual General Meeting
- 2:00 pm: Break
- 2:10 pm: Education Session with Keynote Speaker, Bethany Yeiser

It will be a thought-provoking and inspiring event that brings together our community from across the province. The Annual General Meeting and Education Session will begin with the business portion, followed by the introduction of our keynote speaker, Bethany Yeiser.
Keynote Speaker: Bethany Yeiser
Bethany Yeiser will speak about her journey with schizophrenia and homelessness. She is the President of the CURESZ Foundation, co-founded with Dr. Henry Nasrallah in 2016. CURESZ stands for Comprehensive Understanding via Research and Education into Schizophrenia. Bethany is a motivational speaker, TEDx presenter, and author of Mind Estranged: My Journey from Schizophrenia and Homelessness to Recovery. We are very grateful to have her and her expertise with us this year.
