Beyond the Diagnosis: Realities of Serious Mental Illness
A Partnership Education Presentation (PEP) in partnership with the Luther Court Society

The Vancouver Island Region of the BC Schizophrenia Society is hosting a Partnership Education Presentation (PEP) in partnership with the Luther Court Society.

  • Date: Wednesday, July 9, 2026
  • Time: 1:00 – 2:30 PM
  • Location: Luther Court Society (Main Lounge) — 1525 Cedar Hill Cross Road, Victoria, BC

PEPs use a personal storytelling model to shed light on the reality and scope of serious mental illness and reduce stigma in our communities. A panel of three speakers — a person with lived experience of mental illness, a family member, and a BCSS staff member — share their insights and personal journeys with mental illness.

What to expect:

  • Personal stories from people directly affected by mental illness
  • A chance to ask questions and learn more
  • A welcoming, stigma-free environment

This event is free and open to the public.

Getting There Luther Court Society is accessible by bus routes 27/28 and 24. Parking is available in the main parking lot in front of the building, the lot by Fig Deli, or on nearby streets. Due to current construction in the neighbourhood, please allow extra time to arrive and find parking.

We are honoured and privileged to live and work on this land we all share. We are committed to reconciliation, decolonization, learning from and with Indigenous peoples, and building relationships within our communities.
