Strengthening Families Together – Interior

Strengthening Families Together is a free, six-session program that provides knowledge, support, and tools for families to better cope with mental illnesses. Participating families learn about the impacts of stigma as well as information about psychosis, schizophrenia, mood disorders, and other severe and persistent mental illnesses. Topics covered include treatments for mental illness, side effects, and the impacts of substance use.
The course is open to new or returning participants. The sessions cover the following topics:
- Serious mental illness: diagnosis, treatment, recovery & relapse
- Crisis planning & communication skills
- Stress management & self-care
- Navigating systems
