Vancouver BCSS: Teens in Control Workshop

January 28, 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Teens in Control Workshop – Vancouver

BCSS will be offering a Teens in Control Workshop in Vancouver for youth ages 12 to 18 who have a family member with mental illness. The workshop is a condensed version of our Teens in Control program which provides information about mental illness, coping strategies and self-care, to help youth understand and cope when someone in their family has a mental illness. It is also a chance for youth to connect with peers with similar experiences in a safe environment.

The workshop will be 2 sessions on Tuesdays, January 21 & 28, 2020 from 4:00-6:00pm. It will be held at the Renfrew Community Centre at 2929 East 22nd Ave, Vancouver.

If you know a child or youth who may be interested in attending, they can be referred to the workshop using the attached referral form. Families and youth aged 14+ can also self-refer. For more information, please contact Rachel Phillips, Kids & Teens in Control Manager at 778-903-2752 or by email at kidsincontrol@bcss.org.
