Strengthening Families Together – Northwest

October 21 @ 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm

This six-session program provides knowledge, support, and tools for families to cope better with mental illnesses. Through discussion and group exercises, families build supportive connections with others who share similar experiences and learn how to access BCSS Family Support Groups, services, and other resources available across the province.

Families and caregivers learn:

  • Reliable information about mental illness, diagnosis, and treatment options
  • Effective coping and communication skills
  • Tools to help navigate the mental health system, local supports, and resources

This will on Wednesdays for 6 weeks from October 14 – November 28, 2026 from 12:30 – 3:00 PM.

In-Person locations will be in Terrace and Prince Rupert. Addresses to be announced. Virtual attendance is possible via Zoom.

We acknowledge that the lands on which BCSS operates and supports families are the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the First Nations, Metis, and Inuit Peoples. We are honoured and privileged to live and work on this land we all share. We are committed to reconciliation, decolonization, learning from and with Indigenous peoples, and building relationships within our communities.
